HOSPITAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT CODING - October 25, 2018 at 1 PM CST

This ED webinar will help coders, billers and CDM coordinators by clearly explaining how to interpret the charging, billing and CPT® coding guidelines in order to report bedside procedures accurately.  This webinar will cover the 11 CMS principles for assigning  evaluation and management codes and how to deal with the challenges of undercoding. Other important aspects of this webinar will cover best practice for determining critical care coding for the facility technical component in order to choose the most accurate code, outpatient code edits and medically unlikely edits that affect ED charges and payments, trauma team activation, Condition code G0, and distinct modifier assignment.
