CMS Proposes Hospital Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgical Centers Policy add Payment Changes for 2014
July 8, 2013 - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the Calendar Year (CY) 2014 Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Payment System Policy Changes and Payment Rates proposed rule [CMS-1601-P] on July 8, 2013.

DCS Healthcare added a new hospital outpatient issue to CMS-approved list for providers in New York, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
The federal government has finalized a one-year delay in the compliance deadline for the nationwide conversion to ICD-10 code sets. The delay, first proposed in April, will move the compliance deadline to Oct. 1, 2014.
