Inpatient Coding Consultant
Description:
ACS, LLC is a corporation providing consultation to improve the clinical
and financial outcomes of healthcare. The focus of our consultation
includes both clinical documentation improvement and coding accuracy for
all types of healthcare services. We are currently seeking an inpatient
coding consultant to be responsible for conducting coding compliance
reviews to assure accurate coding and adequate documentation for optimal
reimbursement. Client management duties also include education, data
analysis and report preparation. Our consultants must be able to work
without direct supervision and understand the need for professionalism
and ethics. Candidate should live in Oklahoma, Texas or Arkansas or be
willing to relocate.
Required Skills:

5+ years experience with
coding / auditing inpatient services for IPPS
-
CCS credential preferred
-
Excellent communication
skills
-
Computer skills
including Word, Excel, encoder / grouper

Outpatient Coding Consultant

coding consultant to be responsible for conducting coding compliance
reviews to assure accurate coding and adequate documentation for optimal
reimbursement. Client management duties also include education, data
analysis and report preparation. Our consultants must be able to work

and ethics. Candidate should live in Oklahoma, Texas or Arkansas or be

Required Skills:

5+ years experience in
hospital based CPT/HCPCS coding levels 1-3
-
RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P,
CPC, and/or CPC-H credential preferred
-
Outpatient ICD-9 coding
experience, knowledge of OPPS and APC reimbursement methodologies,
along with thorough knowledge of Medicare reimbursement billing
guidelines, UB-92 revenue codes and mapping structures and extensive
experience with UB-92 and remittance advice statements

Revenue Cycle
reimbursement knowledge preferred
-
Chargemaster project
experience a must
-
Experience with CMS
program memorandum/transmittals/manuals; ability to write reports
and perform exit conferences

Excellent communication
skills

Computer skills
including Word, Excel, encoder / grouper
