Inpatient Coding Consultant:

Position: Full Time Coding/Compliance Consultant - Travel is Required

Description:  ACS, LLC is a corporation providing consultation to improve the clinical and financial outcomes of healthcare.  The focus of our consultation includes both clinical documentation improvement and coding accuracy for all types of healthcare services.  We are currently seeking an inpatient coding consultant to be responsible for conducting coding compliance reviews to assess coding accuracy and clinical documentation adequacy for accurate reimbursement and risk adjustment.  Client management duties also include education, data analysis and report preparation.  Our consultants must be able to work without direct supervision and understand the need for professionalism and ethics.  Candidates should live in Oklahoma, Texas or Arkansas or be willing to relocate.

Qualifications: 5+ years experience with coding/auditing inpatient services for IPPS.  CCS and CDI (CCDS, CDIP)credentials preferred.  Excellent communication/presentation skills.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Encoder/Grouper Software

Outpatient Coding Consultant:

Position:  Full Time Coding/Compliance Consultant - Travel is Required

Description:  ACS, LLC is a corporation providing consultation to improve the clinical and financial outcomes of healthcare.  The focus of our consultation includes both clinical documentation improvement and coding accuracy for all types of healthcare services.  We are currently seeking an outpatient coding consultant to be responsible for conducting coding and billing compliance reviews to assure accurate coding, billing and adequate documentation for optimal reimbursement.  Client management duties also include education, data analysis and report preparation.  Our consultants must be able to work without direct supervision and understand the need for professionalism and ethics.  Candidates should live in Oklahoma, Texas or Arkansas or be willing to relocate.

Qualifications: 5+ years experience in hospital based CPT/HCPCS coding levels 1-3.  RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC and or COC credential preferred.  Outpatient ICD-10 coding experience, knowledge of OPPS and APC reimbursement methodologies, along with thorough knowledge of Medicare reimbursement billing guidelines.  UB-04 revenue codes, mapping structures and extensive experience with UB-04 and remittance advice payment statements are required.  Revenue Cycle reimbursement knowledge preferred.  Chargemaster project experience a plus.  Experience with CMS transmittals and manuals.  Ability to write reports and perform exit conferences with excellent communication skills is a requirement of the position.
